What they are actually asking for
They want the proof of the electronic lease declaration: the PDF issued by AADE's application, confirming the tenancy has been declared, with the property, rent and duration details. The private agreement is your deal; the proof is its official record in the system — and that is what services recognise.
Who asks for it, and why
- Electricity and gas providers — to connect or transfer supply into the tenant's name.
- Banks — as proof of residential address.
- Benefits and social services — where the declaration usually must exist and be accepted by the tenant.
- Schools, citizen service centres (KEP) and other services — wherever proof of residence is needed.
How to download it — three steps
- Log in to myAADE with your own Taxisnet credentials — whether you are the landlord or the tenant.
- Open the lease application ('Property leases' — also reachable via gov.gr under 'Property and taxation'). The declarations concerning you appear — current and past.
- Select the declaration and download the proof as a PDF. Save it — you will be asked for it again.

You are a tenant and see no declaration?
If the application shows no tenancy for the home you live in, most likely it was never declared by the landlord — or declared with a wrong AFM. Contact them: only the landlord can file, and without the declaration you can neither accept it nor obtain the proof — which blocks benefits and utility connections.
